Cream Cheese Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 3 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional:
- pecan halves or Hershey kiss candies
Instructions
- Cream butter and cream cheese; slowly add sugar, beating until fluffy. Beat in egg yolk. Add flour and vanilla; Mix well. Chilled dough for at least an hour.
- Shape into one-inch balls; place on greased cookie sheets. Gently press a pecan half or kiss into each cookie. Candied cherries are also an option.
- Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes.
