$10.00 Fruit Pie

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 stick butter
- 1 quart fruit (4 cups) sweetened to taste
- Fruits such as Peaches strawberries, blackberries or apples may be used. Fresh Peaches are my favorite. And everyone fights for the chewy topping.
Instructions
- Wash fruit and cut into slices, halves, cubes, depending on fruit. Heat in microwave safe bowl or over medium heat in a heavy saucepan.
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Melt butter in the oven in a deep, high side baking dish. (soufflé dish)
- In a mixing bowl combine the sugar, flour, milk, and baking powder. Mix batter until smooth.
- Remove baking dish from oven, pour batter over butter. Pour fruit mixture on top of batter and bake for 25 minutes.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
