Southern Maryland Crab Soup

Ingredients
- Ham bone or scraps of ham
- 2 cups finally cut potatoes
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 2 cups celery cut fine
- 1 large onion cut fine
- 1 tablespoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon time
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- ½ cup barley
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 4 Packages of frozen mixed vegetables
- 2 lbs of crab meat
- ½ pound bacon cut fine and fried
- 1 small bottle of ketchup
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- in a large soup pot combine ham bone, or scraps of ham, and the next 9 ingredients. Simmer for about 30 minutes. Add the frozen mixed vegetables and simmer for one hour.
- Add crab meat bacon and ketchup.
