CLASSIC PECAN PIE
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup light or dark
- 2 tablespoons margarine or butter melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1½ cups pecan halves
- 1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350°
- Beat eggs slightly in bowl. Add sugar, corn syrup, margarine and vanilla. Mix in pecans. Set pie shell on heavy-duty baking sheet. Pour filling into pie shell.
- Bake in 350° oven 45 to 50 minutes, until knife inserted midway between center and rim tests clean. Cool on rack to room temperature.
