Classic Pecan Pie

CLASSIC PECAN PIE

Ingredients
  

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup light or dark
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cups pecan halves
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell

Instructions
 

  • Heat oven to 350°
  • Beat eggs slightly in bowl. Add sugar, corn syrup, margarine and vanilla. Mix in pecans. Set pie shell on heavy-duty baking sheet. Pour filling into pie shell.
  • Bake in 350° oven 45 to 50 minutes, until knife inserted midway between center and rim tests clean. Cool on rack to room temperature.
