Bourbon Hot Dogs

Ingredients
  

  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup ketchup
  • 2/3 cup bourbon
  • 1 pound hot dogs cut ¼- ½ inch thick*

Instructions
 

  • Combine bourbon, sugar and ketchup in a heavy medium saucepan or crockpot; mix well. Add the hot dogs and cook over medium high heat until almost boiling. Turn heat down to medium low and let simmer for an hour or more.

Notes

*if you are doubling or tripling amount of hot dogs, the sauce ingredients can be upped by half.
